This 40 by 40 inch painting, titled Mermaid Tail, is an exploration of turning everyday studio materials into something extraordinary. The piece is made from organic paint drips I’ve collected over the years from the walls of my studio. These drips represent years of creativity, passion, and energy that would have otherwise been discarded. Each layer of paint tells a story, capturing the essence of my artistic journey.

The mermaid tail itself is formed from rich, deep blacks interwoven with purples and subtle hints of light blue and green, evoking the beauty and mystery of the ocean. The sides of the canvas are painted black, giving the piece a polished, finished look, eliminating the need for a frame.
